Léa Steinacker

As the Chief Innovation Officer of WirtschaftsWoche, Léa Steinacker is responsible for assessing and implementing innovative and experimental formats. Together with the publisher and the newsroom, she develops strategies, products and live experiences for the brand and is a speaker on various digital topics. In her bi-weekly column for WirtschaftsWoche she analyzes the interaction between technical innovations, humans, and the economy.
Prior to joining the Handelsblatt Publishing Group, Léa worked for a number of human rights organizations in Bosnia-Hercegovina, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. While she coordinated the evaluation of crisis interventions and analyzed extremists’ propaganda activities in social networks, she discovered the impact and manifold effects of digital media. Léa holds a Master of Public Policy with a focus on digital media from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor in International Affairs from Princeton University.
