Christin Löhr
Christin Löhr can be described in one word – visionary. As the Chief Product Owner at movingimage, Löhr has been the driving force behind their groundbreaking Live Webcast and AI research and a strong presence in the Leadership team. Her background in digital audio/video grew exponentially whilst studying Media Technology at the Technische Universität Ilmenau, where she developed workflow engines for media content management systems. In 2014 Christin joined movingimage, spearheading the development of innovative video solutions for enterprise-grade customers. As an active member of both the STEMinist community and Geekettes network, Löhr embodies the new wave of women in tech reshaping a landscape where women have traditionally been underrepresented – until now.

Technology allows us to exceed our own biological limits. First we created writing. It allowed us to collect more knowledge than would fit into anyone’s brain. Then we created the computer and it allowed us to process more information than any person could think about. Now our watches have more CPU power than early space rockets and 3D printers can print body parts. I can’t wait to see what comes next!

We have to decrease the fear of the (unknown) AI through transparency, education and de-humanizing robots. Also, we have to prevent AIs from being biased, by creating an inclusive and diverse environment in companies that deal with that technology.
