Nora Perseke studied in Bremen, Bologna and Berlin. She holds a Master’s Degree in Cultural Theory from the Humboldt University in Berlin where she focused on the research of cultural realities in the fields of art and performance. Since 2015 she is part of the Code Week Team at Design Research Lab at the Berlin University of The Arts. Code Week is a European grass-roots movement that celebrates creating with code. The idea is to make programming more visible, to show young, adults and elderly how to bring ideas to life with code, to demystify these skills and bring motivated people together to learn. She currently works for Calliope, a project that brings coding to elementary schools with the help of a micro controller, the Calliope mini.

We need to establish a positive yet critical approach towards digital tools that are and will continue to be changing our lives and work fundamentally. An early digital education is the key to understanding computer-based technology and develop a self-confidence in relation to programming and hardware-prototyping.

It’s a spray that turns every surface into a conductive object. Now literally everything can be connected to a computer and thus to the internet of things. This takes prototyping to a new level and I imagine it to be loads of fun especially working with kids.
