Nana Schön started using Linux in 1993 and instantly fell deep into the rabbit hole of free and open software. She holds a diploma in Theoretical Physics and a PhD in Geosciences. After working in England for a couple of years, she gave up academia for teaching (maths and physics). In her copious free time, she likes to volunteer for different organizations that offer free programming and tinkering courses to kids and young people, especially “Coder Dojo Berlin” and “Jugend hackt”.
