Léa Steinacker

steinackerAs the digital scout of WirtschaftsWoche, Léa Steinacker is responsible for discovering, advancing and implementing disruptive innovations and new digital formats. Together with the editor in chief, she develops strategies and products for the digital brand and is speaker on various digital topics.

Prior to her joining the Handelsblatt Publishing Group, Léa worked for a number of human rights organizations in Bosnia-Hercegovina, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. While she coordinated the evaluation of crisis interventions and analyzed extremists’ propaganda activities in social networks, she discovered the manifold impact of digital media.

In her column for WirtschaftsWoche about the interaction between technical innovations, humans, and the economy, she writes about “code capital”, the economic and societal power of algorithms.
