Georgina works within Data Analytics at Facebook, to understand how to improve the value of Facebook advertising for both advertisers and people using the platform.
Initially trained as a Physicist, her experience with data began 8 years ago at the UK’s National Physical Laboratory, working internationally on an EU Research Project. Since then, she has worked with an array of organisations, including Oxford University Particle Physics, the UK Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology and the Institute for Computational Cosmology, before moving into commercial roles at Groupon and Facebook – in London, Berlin and Hamburg.
Georgina is also strong believer in encouraging the growth of women in STEM and supports children’s coding clubs such as CoderDojo and Women in Tech groups such as the Geekettes and Women Techmakers.
